Osun State: Government promise farmers 200,000 cocoa seed

Osun state Government don yarn say dem go give cocoa farmers like 200,000 cocoa seed this year.

Dr Bukola Aluko, the Coordinating Director, Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Youth Engagement, yarn this one on Thursday, when he dey speak with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) for Osogbo.

He say state government go provide farmers with extension services and other facilities wey go support dem kon still boost their products.

“In helping to improve cocoa production in plantations across the state, the state government plans to provide farmers with 200,000 cocoa seedlings.

“The process of making the seedlings available is ongoing and when the seedlings are ready, we will call on our farmers to come pick them at highly subsidised rates,”

Aluko yarn say state government don dey give farmers with other people wey wan do farming land to take use dey farm.

He say state government don set up some agencies to take dey incharge of land allocation process and to provide land to the people wey go use am for farm.
