Lagos State don say make Queen’s College resume back

Lagos State Government don recommend say make the pupils of Queen’s College, Yaba, resume school back for academic activities.

The Commissioner for Health, Dr Jide Idris, yarn this one on Monday as em dey give update ontop the katakata wey happen for the school, he yarn say the school authorities in collaboration with the Parent-Teacher Association, Old Girls Association and the Federal Ministry of Education done successfully address identified areas wey dey get issue for the school and dem don by institute control measures.

He say,

“The control measures include decommissioning of the multiple contaminated water sources, deployment of a single water source with water treatment, renovation of the dining hall, decontamination of the hostels and overhauling of the sewage system and clearance of the septic tanks. Periodic testing and retesting of water sources will still go on in line with international best practices.

 “I am delighted to inform you that based on the results of the analysis of the latest water samples collected on Tuesday, April 11, 2017, all water delivery points have been certified to conform to official specifications and I hereby recommend to the school authorities resumption of students of Queen’s College, Yaba, Lagos.”

As to wetin happen for the school, na serious gbege after the pupils for the school chop spaghetti still kon drink water wey don dey contaminated.

This one so, make about 1,222 pupils as comissioner for health take talk, land for the school sickbay. Dem admit 16 out of the pupils to another hospital.

This matter take away life of 3 pupils for the school.
