3SC not aiming for NPFL title

3SC not aiming for NPFL title

Head coach of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), Fatai Amoo says it is ‘not realistic’ to expect the club to win the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title this season.

The Oluyole Warriors barely escaped relegation last season, finishing in 15th place with 47 points from 36 matches.

Amoo says it’s impossible to expect the club to win the title and believes fans of the club should be pleased if they escape relegation this term.

He said

“I am a realist and I don’t need to deceive anybody.

“If my management will want to sack me for saying the truth, I will prefer that (to lying).

“For now, we (3SC) can’t say we want to win the league but we want to do well.

“And doing well means we don’t want to be relegated.

“Whatever comes (if we don’t get relegated will be seen as a bonus) and we will take it,”
